Geek's Balls
I was thinking today, 99% of my favorite foods come from my uncles. Not because my aunts are not great cooks but because my uncles are just the food pro's of the family....and we are a family of FOOD.
Here is one of my favorites! I haven't made them in years, but I wish I had, because my children devoured them!
Ingredients:
2 lbs of hamburger
2 packets of spaghetti sauce (1.5 oz dry packet like this but I use my local store brand)
2/3 sleeve of saltines, crushed
1 egg
Mix all ingredients together. Form into balls.
Put olive oil in a frying pan and fry up meat balls so the outsides are mostly cook (insides are fine). Basically you want these to be about 2/3 of the way cooked.
Put balls into a cake pan and pour a can of tomato sauce over them. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
We eat ours over spaghetti noodles!
This is a 5 star recipe. My family LOVED them.
